Yop Yop Yop - Update 23

It has been a good week for getting knitting done.

I have done 3 repeats on the Peace Cowl and will change to the new colour today.

I have finished one pair of charity knit socks and I am almost finished the 2nd pair.

I have finished the gift for my knit group's Christmas potluck, plus I have made two others, but I can't post any pictures, because shhh....Christmas secrets!

I am decreasing the cap of the sleeves for my sweater and I know I said it would be done this week, but the socks and Christmas knitting got in the way.

If you want a little peace in your life every day of advent check out the Project Peace blog. Everyday she posts some thoughts and a simple activity you can do to promote peace in your life.

  3. I love the idea of project peace, but as I am struggling to blog once a week, the notion of checking in daily is daunting. The berry colour in your cowl is gorgeous... I guess I have to wait to see what's next!

    1. I am using up stash leftovers so the cowl will be mixed between the berry and a grey. You will see the second colour on next week's post.

    1. Socks are very basic, but they will be warm and Covenant House takes care of young people who find themselves homeless for one reason or another.

  8. A lot of people make fun of the notion of socks as gifts "not socks again" they tease on Fathers' Day and birthdays but seriously I think socks are a fantastic gift. One never has too many and there's nothing like the warmth of hand made socks made with love and care.

    1. My family loves getting socks from me, and I have heard that the shelters really need socks - especially warm ones!
