I have finished the first section in the lilac purple, and I am on row 12 of the lace section (darker purple) now. I am up to 395 stitches and each row adds four more stitches.
Needless to say each row takes me a good part of an episode of Scott and Bailey.
It is a lovely knit, the pattern is easy to follow and I have all my stitch markers in so I can see when I have forgotten or added an errant yarn over.
Sometimes I muck up the CDD and have to go back and fix it. I am working with lace yarn and I wish my needles were a little pointier, but so far so good.
Of course when it comes to blocking I might find a few mistakes but it will all be good in the end.
The big news this week is Monday's eclipse which I blogged about here.
It was a lovely morning spent with my dh.
And, yes, I did get my tattoo on Wednesday.
Ta-Da.
To understand why this symbol has such a strong meaning for me you can read my post here.
Or another one here
So that's it for me. No pictures of knitting but lots of knitting has been done.
I promise.
To follow other yoppers you can check out their week's progress here.
I'm looking forward to seeing this mystery knit. It sounds intricate and purple in all its hues is my favourite colour.
ReplyDeleteI love that you have your tattoo facing towards you, so you get to enjoy it fully rather than upside down. It also shows me how truthful and modest you are.
Mwaaa
Yes the tattoo artist assumed i wanted it to face the other way. Ummm. No!
DeleteThe purples sound great and can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing (because I relate) to measuring the time it takes to knit a row (or section, or whatever) by how much of a TV show it takes to complete. I've never heard of Scott and Bailey, but I think I need to check it out!
ReplyDeleteIt is a good bbc crime drama with two women detectives. And of course the show also follows their complicated personal lives!
DeleteHi Mary-Anne :)) Thanks for linking your blog posts! Sometimes I get so busy, I can't keep up but I love knowing how life is going for my favourite bloggers :)). Your eclipse contraption is great! That must have been fun! We had clouds all afternoon so we couldn't see much anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice tribute to Prince. I loved Purple Rain, I saw it 3 times in a row the week it came out, I was still in high school. Alex and I watch it occasionally, it's very heart-warming. Pretty job on the tattoo!!
I love purple....all shades of it. I am sure your test knit is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLoved Scott & Bailey. Looking forward to seeing the purple knit.
ReplyDelete;-) Tattoo instantly recognisable.
