Year of Projects - August 14 - 20

Well I did get 31 squares done for my sock yarn blanket before I left for New York, so that is one thing.

I did swatch for my husband's socks using Briggs and Little sport yarn, so I am ready to start knitting on the airplane on Tuesday night.

I am about 20 rows in on my C2C blanket which I worked on during the five hour flight last Thursday - although it seemed for every two rows I had to rip one out because I was watching movies, and learning to crochet this pattern needs attention.

By the way - watch the movie Eddie the Eagle - it is such a lovely film.

Mostly though I have been celebrating with part of my extended family my Aunt's 100th birthday.

Such a wonderful four days, not much knitting, but lots of love and joy, laughter and stories.

I am the one on the left!

  4. aww, sorry to hear about the frogging. I do that too when I am watching netflix. I usually find myself holding my hook/needles frozen because I'm so sucked in but when I try to work and watch I usually end up frogging. I really want to knit another pair of socks and I ordered some! It is self striping and omg so perfect for me. It is acutally my first REAL yarn lol so I need to order a yarn winder and swift. I can't wait until it gets here so I can figure out what I'm going to do. I really want to make a sock yarn blanket too now. I like the idea of a "memory" blanket using left over yarn.

You are doing so well with your projects and I am sure will catch up when you get back home.
I watched Eddie the Eagle recently as well, and it was a lovely film. I remember him so well, he was a national hero over here (you know how we always love the underdog)! ;-)
