Yopping 15 - The good and the bad
Short and sweet today, because I am off to Thanksgiving dinner in a couple of hours and I have knitting to do.
I only have 2 1/2 more squares to do on the Iona before putting it all together. I managed a square a day (except Friday - because I was busy busy busy until bed).
Of course Friday may have been a write off because this happened on Thursday night as I was leaving my Knit Group.
Yup. My fault. Turned too soon and the post didn't get out of the way. Stupid post.
I have a courtesy car now and my car is in the shop. Thank God for insurance.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Oh no, I'm sorry about your cute, red car. Once I was taking the kids to the dentist and in the neighborhood in back of that village area, there are knotty trees, like baby Whomping Willows. I told my husband the tree won and wouldn't budge, LOL. He told our insurance company a tree hit my car. When I learned how to drive my mum would always tell me I was too far from the curb. So I was concentrating on that while backing in to a space I guess and the knotty trunk of the tree was sticking out past the curb, and well...my passenger door got dented in, so much I couldn't open it. Happy Thanksgiving to you! What will you be eating?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet welcome back.
DeleteOuch! That's why they're called "accidents"! At least nobody was hurt. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteThank you - dinner was delicious and leftovers were great the next day too.
DeleteOoooh... I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, Mary-Anne. Stupid YELLOW post. The nerve of it leaving itself all over your mangled car. Hope you're able to get it fixed soon. And I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal.
ReplyDeleteWill get fixed this coming week. The insurance company just gave me the go-ahead to fix yesterday.
DeleteSo sorry about your car! Hope it gets fixed quickly.
ReplyDeleteMe too, although the loaner car is pretty fancy....
DeleteThank goodness you're okay...something to be grateful for on your Thanksgiving! Good work on the Iona....can't wait to see it in all it's glory!
ReplyDeleteGetting closer.....see this week's post.
DeleteThose stupid posts have no manners. I met a restaurant sign like that last April lol...Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you had a nice dinner!
ReplyDeleteDinner was wonderful.
DeleteI have yet to forgive the post.
Hope you had a lovely dinner and that you got your knitting done. I'm sorry for your car but at least no one was hurt and that you are insured.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am fine, and the insurance will take care of the rest.
DeleteThat is too bad about your car. I hope you are ok though. You would think that post would have seen you coming and had the courtesy to move to another spot. Dang! I hope you had a marvelous Thanksgiving anyway. Good job on the Iona.
ReplyDeleteI know, right. That post was just so rude.
DeleteI'm glad you didn't get hurt when your car connected with a post. I hate seeing mirrors dangling like that - I worry about whether there was any extra electrical damage because then it costs more to get a new mirror (not just remounting the old one). Lucky you were insured and I hope you aren't inconvenienced for too long with repairs.
