Hello all. I wish I could say the headache is gone, but I am on day 11 and feeling pretty done with it all.
However, I did get my Tee finished and I love everything about it: the colour, the pattern, the yarn and the fit.
I then picked up my Oceans of Time that I had started before I left on my holidays and I am quite please with my progress.
I am hoping to have enough of the grey and red yarn left over to use on a test knit sock pattern for Knitterarium.
I did start my spinning project too. I am aiming for a 4 ply. The fibre is a merino/tencel blend and I love love love the colour (which is more green than the blue it is showing here but I can't get my camera to photograph the true colour. I have four ounces so I am spinning it up onto four one ounce bobbins and then I will ply.
Here is the fibre I am using and the colour is truer:
So that is my week. I did get for a walk one day, and a swim another. And I did get my hair cut so this week hasn't been a total write-off. I am hoping to get out for a short walk today as the sun is shining and the flowers are budding. Here is my new do:
To follow my fellow yoppers check them out here.
I'm so sorry you've had a headache for so long, Mary-Anne. What an unpleasant way to begin being back home. I hope it leaves you soon.
ReplyDeleteYour Tee is tee-rific! I love the color, the fit, and the pattern! Wonderful finish!
I love the picture of you. What a warm smile, and a perky short hair cut. One would never know you're dealing with a headache in that picture. Feel better soon!
the hairdresser had massaged my head and neck so in this picture the headache is only a 3 instead of a 9.
DeleteI am loving your new garment! Very sorry about the long term headache. I was watching runners on Georgia and zigging over to Robson at Denman, from there to the Park and elsewhere (half a marathon I believe) made me so tired I had to go have a nap! Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteYes, my Sunrun days are definitely behind me.
DeleteLove, love, love the new tee. It is quite striking on you. And your new do is quite nice. I love short hair.
ReplyDeleteI hope that headache leaves soon. It is not a nice thing to deal with for so long.
I am so happy with the tee. I have worn it at least three times this week. Once it was even warm enough to wear without a shirt under it.
DeleteLove the do....congrats on the finished tee..love the color!
ReplyDeleteYes, purple is my colour for sure.
DeleteOh sweetheart. I had a 3 day migraine once and I wanted to cut my head off. I don't know how you manage to do anything after 10 days. You are a very strong woman.
ReplyDeletestrong, maybe. Sick of the headache for sure.
DeleteSo sorry your are ill....not fun. I rarely get headaches but they can be real 'show stoppers'. I hope it goes away like NOW!
ReplyDeleteYour haircut is cute and I love the yarn you are using in both projects.
The tee is lovely and looks so much better on you than the needles! Great job!
Ya it looked pretty blah off the needles. But I am so happy when I wear it. The cotton is very soft, but sturdy.
DeleteLove the Tee - great colour. I'm glad the headache hasn't stopped you doing what you wanted to do, including the nice haircut but I do hope it goes soon or if not that you get yourself checked out.
ReplyDeleteit has eased somewhat - I think I had two or three days without it, but this weekend it is back. I think it is the weather because it is rainy today and I feel yucky.
DeleteLook at you all smart with your great cut and new tee?! The tee is gorgeous - I hope something can be done for the headache soon.
ReplyDeleteI think I need a neck adjustment - my shoulders and neck are so tense but I don't know which can first - totally a chicken and egg thing - headaches and neck tension.
DeleteI love your purple and green colours. Nice work.
