A diary of the second half of life. A life that includes swimming, knitting, love, hope, faith, grace, humour and depression. Not necessarily in that order.

Yopping #52 - Almost done
A quick update as I just got wifi as were camping (in the rain) until today.
I have been working on my three crochet blankets and I also started a pair of soakers for the upcoming grandbaby.
I have made my list for next year which is mostly baby things and advent knits.
Next week I will post my wrap-up of this past year and have my new list ready.
I am very happy that I will have posted all 52 weeks of the year.
I am off to Fabricators with my son and sister today. I am going to be drop spindling because I HAVE to spin 2 oz before the end of the month to stay eligible for the scavenger hunt I am playing.
I have signed up for Tour de Fleece with the group that is working with raw fleeces and Tour de Sock.
I am cheerleading for TdS but no doubt will knit a couple of the sock patterns because SOCKS.
Hope you all have a good final week.
Here's to Yopping 2018/2019.
Some of the Yoppers have already posted their roundup posts here.

Hope you enjoyed your camping, I'm very much looking forward to seeing your baby knits, and that reminds me I need to finish my advent knits!
ReplyDeleteWell we have five months till advent starts!
DeleteI look forward to seeing what you create for the grandbaby this year. AND seeing your round-up post next week. You've made many wonderful things this YOP year.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you invited me to this two years ago - it has been a game changer both for my knitting (crocheting) and blogging.
DeleteWhat are soakers??
ReplyDeleteps... Tragedyh has befallen... I have worn holes in the heels of both my special socks... lucky it's warm, coz I supect they may wait some time to be darned. Have to find a worthy yarn!
Deletenot sure why tragedy needed the extra letter... drama i suspect
DeleteOh... soakers are nappy pants... we lived in the tropics when Fraser was a wee thing, and I an vouch not only for the wool version, but the bamboo as well. They are fabulous... just the sort of thing a doting crafty Nonna would knit.
DeleteTragedyh should always be spelt with an extra letter methinks.
DeleteI hope it didn't rain the whole time you were camping. Well done on completing the challenge.
ReplyDeleteIt poured Sunday night, and then it was intermittent spitting rain throughout but my son was a tarp master so it was all good.
DeleteYay for WiFi during camping. You go on being prepared for camping crafting. I want to see your spinning. And that is definitely an accomplishment, posting every week of YOP.
