Finished Object Friday - needs a name. Help?

I have finished a sweater and I LOVE it. I have knit many sweaters in the past, but usually I am not so happy about the fit, or the look.

However, this sweater, which was a very quick knit, is so great. It is warm, thanks to the ultra-alpaca wool, and I love the way it drapes and how its odd construction allows me to wrap myself up in it.

It is a DROPS pattern that has a very numerical name = Drops-108-33 jacket It needs a catchy name that reflects its awesomeness.

Ideas welcome! I have called it a sweater/shawl - but I am sure my readers can do better than that.

  1. Very pretty! I like the draped neck too--it's different and stylish.

    1. it can be draped higher or lower because the loops from the crochet edging can be hooked onto the button at the neckline. Very clever design.

What about a 'drawl' (draped shawl)!! Sorry I am not great at this, I bet Wendy is though! :-)

  4. Oh no. I can't do better than that with a name. With names I'm horrible. (You should see some of my pattern titles *shivers in revulsion*)

    Great sweater.

    1. I thought 'shivers in revulsion' was one of the names of one of your projects. I had to go look!

  5. Well I think it's gorgeous and I'd go with the Alpaca/ Himalayan/ Pashmina influence for a name... So shweater works with that... Paschweater would be my call... And I can't wait to see one made from a rainbow or variegated yarn... Perhaps spun and dyed by vous-meme mon ami ...

    1. great name! yes, I think this pattern will be knit again - perhaps something lighter and lacier for the summer over a long dress.

  7. Working from previous comments and description: Drape for a Diva? Draping, Diva Shawl? although the latter name requires a comma! Wrapped with Love? You Love it and how it wraps around you.
Well done! There's a special pride and joy when our handiwork turns out perfectly. :-)
