Nanowrimo - Ghost

Day Five Excerpt...

She awoke and the first word that came to her mind was ghost. She had watched a movie a few weeks ago that talked about how parents are ghosts for their children. How parents only job once their children are born is to make memories for them.

She didn't buy it. Not when she heard the actor utter the line and not this morning.

She believed in ghosts, although she had never seen one. She had felt them though. She had lived in an old house when she was newly married and had the strongest sense that someone had hung themselves in the bedroom closet. She never used the bedroom closet, and kept the door closed, but the thought was always there. She didn't investigate the possibility that it wasn't true because she knew in her heart it was.
