Total Immersion

It turned out that it was a week before she could get back to the pool – but in the shower, in the bath, walking in the woods, falling asleep she would visualize the mantra:
Head Down
Wide Tracks
Low Target
Patient Hand
And when she finally got into the pool she changed up her routine. She headed for the 17 meter pool and started her drills. It was a good change: better light, warmer water, shallow – and suddenly fifty minutes were up and she felt – accomplished. She felt.
So here she was back in the pool – day three of November.
She was a trinitarian and it was day three.
